To attract a new customer base to an event
at the shelter. The event is to increase awareness of the fact that the shelter has critters (pet animals other than cats and
dogs) and that critters can be a fun alternative to cats and dogs, especially for a more
urban lifestyle.
Our target audience for this event is adults (primarily 20-50), who live in Seattle and are animal lovers, but not necessarily current
pet owners.
Request for bright, engaging graphics. These will be used primarily in social media and on notice boards in public spaces, so they need to stand out. We want these assets to be fun with a Halloween edge/darkness.
Inspired by the animal shelter's archived photos and by old style movie posters, I decided to paint the creatures to fulfill the request for a Halloween-like edginess. For
the background, a blood-curdling orange, the complimentary of green, was chosen for brightness against the iridescent iguanas.
